40brd checking in, should be 50 by the end of this weekend the fates are calling to me now from work!! I for one really enjoy the mechanics of BRD this time around. Its like xi brd and xi rng had a sexy baby. In fate groups I feel really useful with the MP regen and the 10% elemental dmg boost to party members. I really really wish they would give us a better limit break i feel useless in ifrit. Other then that loveing the class.

one question I'm almost at my level 35 bard quest but where do I get my next bow or one of those white looking bows that are half bow half harp were those from 1.0? And, I sure they have more options on light armor later in the game I am not liking that Bard armor.

I'm a soon to be Bard! I love the Archer class so much, and after doing a bit of reading I'm actually quite exited to join the Bard ranks

Baby Bard here. Got it last night and have done a few dungeons with him. I was planning on leveling up the other classes to 30 before really getting into my bard but I can't seem to pull myself away from this class! Can't wait to see what the future has to hold for Bards because as of right now I'm hooked lol.

Is there anything different between bard and archer? I saw in some thread people saying archer > bard. Isnt Bard archer with additional skills (songs)?

The people saying Archer>Bard are people whom wanted RNG. The point of bard is to put out some dps while being a major part of supporting your raid groups, thus you do lose some dps by playing a couple of the songs due to the 20% reduction in dmg while it plays. Take that with a grain of salt because it's a super fun class to play

Archer is only better than Bard when you're leveling and want a few skills from non-Bard classes, like having some Conjurer skills or something.
