How many days of free time after release?

we were originally told we would be recieving 30 days regardless of wether you were an old or new player. where'd this 14 day number come from might i ask?

The welcome back campaign is 14 days and adding a PS3 license is 30 days of free game time

EDIT: Also anyone know why i cant create a thread? is lv.20 not high enough to post on the forum?
