You guys sound like exactly what I'm looking for, casual but not "casuals" lol...I'm interesting in joining and my friend would likely follow, as he's the one who got me into the game. He's a 50 SCH and I'm currently 36 BLM (but also a 35 NIN).

I'm in Edmonton, Canada, a HS teacher, and have tons of raid experience outside ff. I want to learn T1-13 before expansion for sure, and will be staying for xpac.
