Update: Hey all, this post was getting pretty stale, as we made it now 2 and a half years ago in August of 2013, it's now days away from the beginning of 2016 so I thought I'd come back and make sure this post was up to date.

Swagger has been around since 1.0, four years later we're still alive and kicking, and our mission is the same as it has been: provide a fun, friendly, helpful and inclusive environment for our members. Curating a membership that believes in those goals has been our first priority, it's more important to us than how often we run events as an FC, or how many members we have.

We've fluctuated from peak our active player counts upwards of 30 to as little as 3-5. We're definitely at a low point now, but in 4 years of being together, we've only ever had problems with a single member who was kicked within literally 30 seconds of being invited due to lax screening on my part. We don't have a formal application process, but I or another member will always talk briefly with anyone who wants to join, and we have a 99% success rate at picking players who love a drama free and inclusive environment.

Members have returned after years away and always feel right at home, with our culture remaining our highest priority. At times we were at the front of raiding in coil, right now a few members run Alexander Savage, but otherwise it's just a bit of Diadem Hard here and there. We're looking to expand and run events more actively, but first we need a more active community again.

Most of our members never leave the FC, and remain dedicated, we tend to only lose members as they take breaks or step away from the game. For the most part, our playerbase is decidely midcore, with a mix of casual and hardcore players here and there. That audience I think has suffered a bit in the 3.0 series. But the fact that our membership sticks with us has always been part of what has made us proud to continue running our FC.

Additionally, if there are any small FCs out there that are looking to merge, we've absorbed a smaller FC before to great success, and their members have been some of our most active and longest. We met with that FC before merging and carefully talked about the sorts of cultures we wanted to preserve. Feel free to contact us about possibilites in that space as well. For those wondering we have had a Medium sized house since the housing launch.

To clarify, we offer dungeon runs. We haven't quite worked up to offering all of our members their own personal dungeons. It's on the to-do list though, I'm sure. Seeing as that to-do list mysteriously found its way into a certain miqo'te's hands.
