=^.^= Many thanks. I think I have a grasp of it now. Only thing left is wait for EA and experiment with it.I actually believe I saw a "target next" ability in the actions menu so I imagine that would work. Something like /ac "target next" <me> or whatever the command is actually called (it's been my experience that if you don't have a target for an action you need to use <me> as a placeholder but I may be wrong). However, I don't think it would be a very trustworthy macro unless you know what the next target with be 100%. A mouseover macro would be safer.
Looks pretty much like the FFXI macro system, which I prefer. the /wait and targeting options are nice. I was wondering if the <call> feature is in as well and how many there are. I know I had to wake a few friends up who fell asleep at the keyboard a time or two.
<call> per se no, but <s.e.#> which stands for "sound effect"!
But that only works in party chat. Not on tell, not on LS, not on GC, not on say, not on yell, not on shout. Only on Party
whats the command to set a focus target?
also what would be a macro to use to assist my focus target?
In other mmo's i like to set the tank as my focus target then use a macro to assist him to stay on the right target when dpsing.
Thanks for info.
Every instance I did I asked people this and never got an answer (Though it was only 6 instances). That's one of the things I love about this game. It is easy to get into but there is sooo much to do/learn to master it.
Well if the tank has set targets for say 3 targets you could use -
/ac "Sleep" <mark2>
/wait 3
/ac "Sleep" <mark3>
/wait 2
/ta <mark1>
that will sleep target 2 & 3 and then target the one you are fighting.
not sure if <st> (select target) works in XIV like it did in XI but that obviously requires physical input outside of 1 macro.
