they screened my chat request. so no answer to this... but i was thinking that all they would need to do is reset all the pre-order codes to not used and let people re-enter them under the correct region.

i fixed my problem simply by buying the US version and asking for a refund on my EU version (you have 14 days to do so) since there is no region lock.
