No man! Every time someone new gets the game they need to make a new server! They might not want to play with the "old new people" and become tainted!
This thread is absurd, just like every pedantic "Oh noes" legacy thread.
This is more or less how the entire thread came across. Although I have no plan to transfer to a 'new' server as legacy (I love my free company too much), I just don't get it. Folks telling people to re-roll, really? Square has defined some set amount of time that they feel necessary before allowing transfers. The same people complaining are likely to be dominated by a crafter / 'new' player that is good at manipulating the market anyway. Why on earth would you limit a fans from having the capacity to play with one another? You wouldn't. I appreciate that there is a time gap to allow some catching up but anything beyond the current restrictions outlined seems unnecessary (nor do I think it would actually change).
Hehe you wont meet many people that level faster then I do and I did not hit 50 on conjurer till 1/1/2011 which is a little over 2 months so no you will not find a single person that leveled to 50 in a week. And to get there that fast you hit the max fatigue level just about every week. And yeah I expect people to hit 50 on their first class(if they ignore subs and crafting for the most part) in more like 24 hours. Which is why even though some players will make a bit of money they will not be able to do it for long. But for some people that is part of the fun of a new server and exactly what 1.0 characters getting xfered to their servers would ruin.
Btw I notice you hit 50 about a month after I did which tells me you are pretty fast at leveling too so you should see why this advantage on a new server is a positive experience for some players. I would expect that when you hit 50 there was probably maybe 20-30 people on your server that were also 50 and it felt good to be up there with the select few well new players want that same chance.

And you are the reason why i don't want to be together with other legacy players in one server. Don't get me wrong i played with excellent legacy players but answers like this are the reason why people don't like them.
I've got news for you. New players can be jerks too. Legacy players don't have a monopoly on asshatery.
Let's say you walk through the wrong neighboorhood and get robbed by some gangster who happens to be a particular race. Do you then think that everyone of that race is a gangster? No, because that would be racist. Same thing here. Legacy players can be kind people or douchebags, just the same as new players can.

And you (as in this ridiculous answer) are the reason why I find these threads and these post utterly irrelevant.
my reason for not wanting legacy players on new servers is this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VlD624cMVI (not saying all legacy players did do this but too many of y'all did) people used the "i cant play with friends because they aren't on my legacy server" as an excuse you know dang well if your friends ask you to help them level up faster you know you'll do it and that isn't what i'd like to see on new servers, i see pling happening on legacy servers and i dont mind because they aren't going to affect my new server
edit: this isnt my main lvled this guy on a jp legacy server when i got error 3102 at level 5 on my main

I don't think it is irrelevant because i would love to play with all players together legacy or not but maybe i didn't express myself right. It is just that me as a NEW player to this game don't want to be with OLD(Legacy) players together in one server...not primarily because i don't like legacy players(And yes they are legacy and non legacy assholes) it is because i want to discover this game with other NEW players together and fail together not having somebody tell me how to do it or to beat this dungeon and so on(and yes there will be asshole new players there too, i know that). I hope i did express myself right...i am horrible at building sentences sorry![]()
Yes, I can understand that, but I'm not talking about DoW/DoM jobs, I'm talking about the economy (as I think most people are when they hate on legacy people) and DoL/DoH jobs. Personally I think people on new servers are going to be screwed by the powerlevelers until their economy's settle when more people level up. I don't know, just seems like so much hate and nastiness over some that is going to happen anyway, but aimed at the wrong people....if that makes sense.Btw I notice you hit 50 about a month after I did which tells me you are pretty fast at leveling too so you should see why this advantage on a new server is a positive experience for some players. I would expect that when you hit 50 there was probably maybe 20-30 people on your server that were also 50 and it felt good to be up there with the select few well new players want that same chance.
With the amount of new content (even the old dungeons have changed) no one, not even legacy players will be able to tell you how to do stuff. Everyone will be completing the content from a fresh prospective, its just that people from 1.0 will be able to tackle the higher stuff first.
But...be aware that if you use the duty finder you may well end up playing with these legacy players in dungeons anyway.

You can't find happiness until you know sadness and you can't have true laughter until you know the taste of your own tears.
