Solution to Legacy Players Transferring to Non-Legacy Servers

Also, rmt spread out everywhere no matter what and all their gil that has been stocked up has been crippled immensely. Just because they have classes with levels already.... it isn't exactly something that matters even more so since most rmt were just a bunch of level 30s doing leves for gil anyways.

What's done is done. Let the fresh players play on their untouched servers and legacy stay on legacy.

I'd rather have some kind of voucher system to get past the character creation lock down on my server. There's about 10 of us with legacy characters, and a good 8 people starting new who weren't able to roll on our server in Phase 4. Hopefully they can for EA, if not then we have to chose whether to ditch our 1.0 characters to play with the new people, or wait and see how transfers work out. It is a bit frustrating.

By the time legacy can transfer it doesn't matter. And if I damn well want to swap off to a non-legacy server why should all my stuff be taken that I ALREADY WORKED FOR. By your same logic everyone that transfers to legacy should have their levels and gear stripped and gil taken they earned on their old server. No legacy person in their right mind would transfer off their server to try to monopolize a piece of the market on a non-legacy after 6 months because RMT will already have done so.

Maybe you people hating on legacy should consider that if you were to transfer onto a legacy server the severe hate you seem to have for us could go the opposite way. You wouldn't want the same you're asking for if YOU had to transfer.

It's ironic some of the posts in this thread seem to indicate that they are against legacy transfers because... they want to do the same thing they don't want legacy characters that transfer over to do: get in on the new economy and get rich. Kind of funny if you ask me.

Ya it was pretty hilarious to me too. With the way this game is going they will have their respective markets in 3 months too. I guess as long as it is a "NEW" economic overlord they dont care haha

I have to say as someone who busted a** to get a L20 Miner, Blacksmith, Weaver, Goldsmith, and Armorsmith during P4 on a non legacy server. I would get a bit pissy if some jackhole got to drop on at all 50. [...] If someone just drops in and all of a sudden he can corner the market from the start.... NO.

here is the thing, that person didn't just DROP IN at 50, it wasn't like he signed up and got a special level 50 character, he busted ass too...he busted ass on ONE POINT ZERO. did you craft in 1.0?
i busted ass in 1.0 i only got to ~ level 15 in most classes and it represented weeks of play, these people with all 50's would have spent months or years to get that.
imagine that the opposite was true and you were being asked to either remain on a server located on the other side of the world or delete the character you worked on in order to be on a server with your friends and a sane ping rate.
