    Hora, Radicals and Crooks

I remember in one of the previous patches that Tortoiseshell Horas had the repair material required changed from Tortoiseshell to Horn Glue. I noticed many pugilist still have some difficulty in finding repairs for the other hora version weapons. It would be nice if the required repair materials could be changed to other glues to improve the ease for getting repairs.

Weathered Horas = Bone Chip > Animal Glue
Bone Horas = Bone Chip > Fish Glue
    Tortoiseshell Horas = Horn Glue
Crabshell Horas = Green Megalocrab Shell > Wing Glue
Jade Horas = Jadeite > Scale Glue

As for conjurer two-handed staffs, many are very difficult to find repairs for as well and need very specific monster only items to repair. It would generally be nice if all repair materials could come from a synthesis craft instead. I would like to use radicals for my conjurer but needing a Sunrise Tellin or a Red Landtrap Leaf as a repair material really is a huge turn off for me to buy and use such. I am not sure what would be a good suggested repair material for these but I am aware that Flambeau Radical uses Void Glue as its repair material.

Crooks use the versions of blood that was used in the making of each respective crook. Again another group of weapons that use monster only items as the repair material, thus making them less valuable and less desirable to players. My conjurer currently uses one-handed wands and a shield even though the durability is horrifically less then a two-handed staff. I am even considering telling the developers to investigate the amount of durability given to one-handed conjurer weapons seeing that on average I require repairs three times as often, in the same amount of time as my thaumaturge ranking buddy who uses one handed scepters also.

Yes I am aware that conjurer was meant to use two-handed staffs but the benefits of them are severely lacking and the balance of one-handed wands compared to other one-handed weapons is very poor. If I could still see the actual durability numbers of the wands instead of a percentage still, I am sure I would be able to see better how a low durability wand and shield combo would fair against a higher durability staff with difficult repair material requirements seeing that the stats on equivalent rank weapons are very similar already.

Why is your forum picture a lala but your character a hyur :P. I agree, some of the repair materials required for those items are too rare and hard to obtain, and expensive when you see them for sell. the only Jadeite i see for sell on my servers wards is 30,000 gil. It's no wonder i see people with jade hora repair requests for days on end.. that needs to be changed. It doesnt help that you only get Jadeite from HQ Jade synths

Yeah this has become a bit of a mess. It's very hard to balance these things and will only get harder.

I think they just need an innovative escape from this system. Perhaps trading guild marks for repair items. The pug guild surely would know that crab shells are a pain in the rear to get, but if anyone's going to be dedicated to providing them for a good price it'd be the pug guild.

Could make them only useable for repairs and not new items.

If you're stuck thinking okay what can we make this repair mat, what can we make THIS repair mat...it's just a pain in the rear end and more trouble than it's worth. How common is that item. Where does that item come from. Is that a reasonable balance compared to how many of this tool is out there being used. Is the convenience balanced with other repair mats of its level. It's just pain. Unnecessary pain all around for them and for us.

Can we add weaver's needles to that list? Most used to require a nugget for repairs, which were easy enough to find given the miners could find the base ores easily off of their main nodes. The stones that are now needed instead are from a rarer find off of a quarry point. You could more easily make/buy another needle instead of repairing it, unless you happened to have a +quality version, then you're more likely to visit the npc to repair.

@OP, with the exception of Jade Hora (because of the requirement of an HQ item), I have had NO issue finding the items you listed. Bone chips and tellin I get a dime a dozen, and while I am not actively using landtrap leaves, I've come across many. Crab shells, I can't speak to, as I have little experience -trying- to get them, but I DO have several in my inventory, so I got them without trying from SOMEwhere.
