I've been trying to sort specific types of items to tabs and no luck. I don't know how to write the condition for a specific inventory tab, it just sorts the entire contents of your inventory from tab 1 to 4. Is there some kind of condition we can write with the /isort command to set up our inventory tabs to only have specific types of items like tab 1 will just have medicines / foods?

Sorry if they posted how to do it, but I can't find a way to declare the tab I want things sorted to.

A list of all the possibilities for the /isort would be nice too, on the examples it looks like you would be able to get really specific but what they gave on the patch notes is kinda just general sorting.

They're in the online manual. You're likely looking for "tab" sort order (instead of asc or des).

There's a checkbox in the character config somewhere to turn on inventory sorting by tab. Can't remember the exact wording. I haven't messed with the isort command yet, but I have that checkbox checked. Every time I sort my inventory via right-click, food/meds go in the first tab (and often overflow into the second because I have too many), and basically everything else goes into two, then three (or three, then four). I haven't seen any other division, but I don't have weapons/armor in my inventory, and it might be a bit too full for other division to happen (crafting mats take up more than a single tab).

This is great news. It's getting tiring sorting my tabs for certain categories like gathering mats, crafted goods, or potions and food. Though I'll probably just use it for a general sort, but then fine tune by hand as I doubt it'll have the options necessary for my.. compulsive sorting habits.

Would it also be possible to add a feature to tell if your retainer has an item? Inventory tells you how many you have, but doesn't tell me if my retainer does.

    Thank you

Thank you for such a detailed and informative post. This was a feature I was very interested in seeing implemented, and it appears this update will address all my inventory concerns.

This is all fine and dandy, but it doesn't do us any good if we can't even log in.

Please, apply this also to guild bank...
It's insane, to store an item on guildbank you have to manually drag it, press YES, press YES again and then it will be stored... When you have to store 40 items, it will be a LONG task.
More insane, the guild won't "auto-stack" multiple items, you have to manually find the other item and stack it, which is insane if you have 3 full tabs. We require an easy way to insert items in guild bank, like right click on item => store it in first free slot in bank OR put it on stacks of same type, if one is found.

This is the correct way to handle it.

We really need better Retainer management:

    - Let the item tooltips display the quantities stored under each retainer. Example:

    - Let us see our Retainer's inventory even when not at a retainer bell. We could also have a Call Retainer ability. This would alleviate traffic in the very spare spots where there are bells right now.

    - Let us craft from our Retainer's inventories! if combined with the "Call Retainer" ability, retainers would become more like what they are supposed to be: assistants. Call them by your side to help with crafting.

    - I would like to see a way to transfer items from our inventories to the right spot in a Retainer's inventory. Suppose you mark each Retainer bag for a specific Item Category. Then you can click a button that says "Send items to retainers" from your inventory, and the items would automatically go where they are supposed to. Completely customizable. Example:

I would set bag 1 for Retainer A to hold lumber, bag 2 to hold ingredients, etc. My personal bags are full; and so I click "Send items to retainers" and all the items that have a category in one of my retainers get automatically moved to the pertinent bags. This is a system that Guild Wars 2 has in place and is incredibly useful. I hope the team will consider it.
