    Got a noob question. I heard that ur sum is only as powerful as ur arn. Someone said get ur arn to 50 then work on ur sum. My question is would they not both level up at the same time?

    They do. SMN and SCH are just specializations of ACN. You're still an ACN, but you can draw abilities from either SMN/SCH depending on what job stone you have equipped. You can also heal lower level dungeons once you unlock scholar.
