Unfortunately, that's true. Even for games such as Diablo II/III. You could order a key from China and still play on US servers. Region lock on accounts for a game we can play on any server no matter the location we are in is senseless to me until my ignorance is cleared.

They really need to learn from SC2:HOTS or Diablo 3
SC2 made it where everyone can go to different servers, no longer SEA version blah blah blah..just 1 english version. and that's it

it wouldn't be just SE that would have to do that. Sony would have to as well.

Well sony u know they would IP block and so on.. so you play there at your own risk most of the time if you're not from the NA region.

however, the region bounded code for EA was a surprise..since they told us we're allowed to go in NA / EU / JP servers is what make this situation worse. So it become pointless to have a region bounded thingy.

True... but then again, SE could have just done away with this special preorder code and just handed out EA codes from the start.

Extremely pointless for the extra 20 digits. I don't see why they can't combine the 2 codes into 1 region-less

They should have let us do it earlier too..so little days to register with big amount of problems.

It's been said before by many people that SE has the most hoops that we have to jump through before the end can be reached. Never had problems with any other MMORPG or MMO game in my life that could compare to what a lot are experiencing here. It's not like this is their first MMO either. I have props to the fanbase though for being loyal despite these royal screw-ups on SE's end.

Huge fan of SE offline games, but I have to say I'm disappointed in their online game management.

They had experience of FF11, FF14 like u say..I don't see how they can screw up so badly on their "3rd" MMO =/

i'm sorry but i'm starting to think that SE has pretty much cheated us out of our pre order money.... they have yet to give any update on this issue on any of their sites..... it was different when there was errors in the beta because that was something free, but now SE has screwed up something we have all paid our hard earned money on.... makes me worry about how they are going to screw up the official release....
