Hurray for RPers! Be sure to check out upcoming public Rp events coming around the corner~ Balmung presently has two public events: the annual Full Cold Moon gala on the 31st and an adventurer's guild/networking event on the 1st. Of course, other public events are in the planning stages as well. And obviously, there will be plenty of RP to be had outside of these events in day-to-day interactions. Exciting times are ahead!!

I don't really RP myself, but I jump into every thread with Balmung in the title just to say that this is one of the nicest servers I've played in on any MMO. The RP'ers tend to keep themselves to themselves you only really notice they're there when you walk past a group hanging around and catch a snippet of the ongoing RP.

If that interests you, send them a /tell and I'm sure they will be happy to chat with you.

They've added a nice tone to the server ever since it was Besaid.

Not quite sure on the hotspots yet, but I managed to get some light walkup RP in with a Lala near Limsa, though it was random and started because the bugger was following me around, ended up getting errored out and lost connection mid conversation so hopefully he wasn't too sore about the sudden silence. I've had a lot of good luck with random walkups.

I never got to get my RP in when 1.0 came around as I didn't have a PC to support the game. I did plenty of RP in XI and I'm looking forward to meeting plenty of folks in-game this time around.

So far I've seen the most RP in Gridania hubs but I'm clueless to where it's usually active.

Hi Everyone. I'm Monkeyfist Lee, and I love this community. My first time being on the game in V1.0 I was forced to be silent but this server so far lets me talk freely and I love it. Even when Over Roleplaying its fun, and I hope it stays the same. Off topic though: Anybody feel robbed of Early Access? I mean had they implemented a week for BP4 they maybe could have ironed many of these issues out. NA/EU has been hit with more than 18 hours of downtime in the last 32 hours of early access meaning were on the second day of EA and haven't barely had half a day to play. While the other servers have been hit with no more than 6 hours by my count of downtime. Just feeling a little robbed cause every other time I myself go to get on it seems the server is down, or when I do get on it goes down within an hour or 2. Just venting frustration.

At the moment many rpers are still finding their feet or simply can't log in. However we're carving out territory.

The RP linkshell Corvus Cinis has made it's HQ in Fallgourd Float for example. And a friend is setting up an RP mage school in vesper bay.

I'm not a role player myself but some times I enjoy sitting near a RP group and watch them do their stuff. It just makes the world seem more real

Haha, I completely agree. The first time I ran into a group of RPers I thought they were NPC's with really intensive dialogue.

There is a OOC Linkshell for roleplayers called "Intermission", and if you want to join you can contact me in-game the first intermission is full but "Intermission 2" has room for roleplayers!
