Same. I'm not an RPer, but I would stop what I was doing during the beta to listen in cause I was curious (that's how I found myself on this forum actually haha).

It definitely adds personality to the server, and I'm glad Balmung has a sense of community. Duty Finder had me a little worried about getting to know people, but feeling much better reading the posts. Have fun, hope to see you all around and doing what you love

Exactly! For me, our RPers add a lot of depth and life to the game. It just.. feels good to walk around and see conversations happening that pertain to the lore and life of the game as opposed to some dirty joke or nonsense argument in shout.

Hurray for RPers! Be sure to check out upcoming public Rp events coming around the corner~ Balmung presently has two public events: the annual Full Cold Moon gala on the 31st and an adventurer's guild/networking event on the 1st. Of course, other public events are in the planning stages as well. And obviously, there will be plenty of RP to be had outside of these events in day-to-day interactions. Exciting times are ahead!!

I don't really RP myself, but I jump into every thread with Balmung in the title just to say that this is one of the nicest servers I've played in on any MMO. The RP'ers tend to keep themselves to themselves you only really notice they're there when you walk past a group hanging around and catch a snippet of the ongoing RP.

If that interests you, send them a /tell and I'm sure they will be happy to chat with you.

They've added a nice tone to the server ever since it was Besaid.

So where are the key rp hubs thus far? Just the taverns?

Not quite sure on the hotspots yet, but I managed to get some light walkup RP in with a Lala near Limsa, though it was random and started because the bugger was following me around, ended up getting errored out and lost connection mid conversation so hopefully he wasn't too sore about the sudden silence. I've had a lot of good luck with random walkups.

I never got to get my RP in when 1.0 came around as I didn't have a PC to support the game. I did plenty of RP in XI and I'm looking forward to meeting plenty of folks in-game this time around.
