no, i tend to do that too. RP events just act as sort of... hub events, to get people together to meet others they might not normally bump into in their day to day character lives.

Very excited for Early Access.![]()
Hi everybodycan't wait to get in game! I need to make some new RP friends hehe
so get at me! Tomorrow I will be stocking up on lots of energy drinks and snacks :3
I tend to keep my RP in-game and in-person. I usually don't RP in LS/FC.
I'm just the same. I can't usually RP without a visible setting, it just makes more sense to RP in /say. Linkshells, then, would instead be used for actual in-character telecommunications instead of emotes.
Hello Everyone, I didn't get to RP much myself. But I loved listening in on the RPs that happened in town. Really missed it during beta phases. Can't wait to be back.
Super excited to get back into RPing with FFXIV, I also can't wait to start recording Machinima with FFXIV!
I've been chomping at the bit just to get back in.. I think I've ran the Benchmark too many times now >w>;
Same. I'm not an RPer, but I would stop what I was doing during the beta to listen in cause I was curious (that's how I found myself on this forum actually haha).
It definitely adds personality to the server, and I'm glad Balmung has a sense of community. Duty Finder had me a little worried about getting to know people, but feeling much better reading the posts. Have fun, hope to see you all around and doing what you love![]()
Exactly! For me, our RPers add a lot of depth and life to the game. It just.. feels good to walk around and see conversations happening that pertain to the lore and life of the game as opposed to some dirty joke or nonsense argument in shout.Same. Hi all, I've never RPed before open beta but I did enjoy my one session I had in the shroud, I can't wait to get more into roleplaying and this fantastic community I've heard all about
