
Australia does have its own Classification System.The best way I can answer your question is to go to your Australia stores, be it online or local. Check the rating system on the game box. Is it ESRB or PEGI? ESRB is NA, PEGI is EU. If Australian version of the game has its own classification then I have no idea.
He needs to import it because he needs a registration key. Be it a digital version or physical, he needs to get an out of region copy of the game. Please don't sabotage his future in this game because you want to take his code.
