The ironic thing is the launch of 1.0 actually went pretty smoothly. The game was just awful. lol. Kind of the reverse happening now.Yeah, tbbh, its all speculation at this point till someone from SE actually comes out and explains why this is happening, the chances of that are slim to none.
With all the issues during 1.0, I was really hoping they would have there house in order to facilitate a smooth launch...
Oh the days spent running around 5-10 minutes between mobs outside the gates of Lima...but I digress...
Back to the topic at hand. My second friend has made it to Gamestop and canceled his original preorder. While on his way out the door, he preordered from Amazon and got the 18 digit EA code almost immediately. We have since enter that code following the aforementioned post and he is now set for EA with the correct region.
Good luck to all those still fighting (Nightmare Mode) Wrong Region boss...
The fact that cancelling and re pre-ordering is a main way to fix your code problems, says a lot about how terribly the company screwed up.Back to the topic at hand. Then you can go with option b) spend several hours on the phone(possibly being charged an absurd amount of long distance), praying you don't get disconnected and have to start over, and if you're reeeally lucky, they might fix it for you![]()
Amazing news to everyone who purchased NA version from GMG and got the EU instead: They just refunded my money so I could buy the NA version this time! Just open a ticket at their site, be polite! Took me 2 hours to get the reply, but gosh am I happy! =D
Rejoice!
Been there, done that, got the chocobo plushie. Actually I only had the privilege of paying for an hour+ long phone call and listening to "please ensure you have a ticket" and "our customer service representative will be with you as soon as possible" over and over again, and finally giving up when I read others not getting any help when they got through anyway.
Awww... chocobo plushie! I want one!Been there, done that, got the chocobo plushie. It seems that people who spoke to them later in the day yesterday started getting fixed codes as opposed to ppl who talked to them the day before... maybe something changed on their end and they became 'allowed' to give out codes if you have your 18 and 20 codes to prove you have it.
When I enter my 20 code, it says it's not from the right region. How do I fix it? Contact SE?! I don't even know how...

SERIOUSLY?!?! NICE! I opened a support ticket already in GMG a few hours ago. No reply yet though. Did you explicitly demand a refund? What I told them is that I should be reassured an NA code on launch.
