u realize their number is NOT toll free right? so that will do nothing but run up your phone bill just for them to tell you that they can't give you anything.I was in the same boat as everyone here this morning. I tried all the suggestions: re-redeeming, setting language, filling out profile, etc.
My suggestion (it worked for me!), although it's a painful one, is:
1) Open support ticket at support.na.square-enix.com.
** Provide your 6-3-6-3 code and your broken 20 digit code
2) Call US support center 1-858-790-7529 (during business hours!!)
3) WAIT! I was on hold for just under THREE (3) hours!
4) Give the tech who answers your ticket number, calmly and politely explain the problem, and answer any questions they have.
** I was asked where I preordered from, what URL the retailer told me to redeem at, what my 6-3-6-3 code was, what my incorrect region 20 digit code was, etc.
5) Tech will give you a new code (hopefully?) and wait on the phone while you enter it
6) Say "thank you!" and hang up; then relax until Saturday!
From the page where they give you the 20 digit code:
"Input this code, when prompted, after logging in to the game for the first time.
Alternatively, please go here to redeem the code."
But if we dont have an active account (because we cant input the code), then how would you expect us to login first then input the code?

Has anyone successfully gotten a new (correct)code by cancelling and re-ordering?For peopel who ordered through the NA SE store, you can go to findmyorder.com, pull up your order, and push the big ol cancel button. Then just reorder it and get a new code.
hell you can do this with probably all online retailers since none actually bill you till the game ships.
I wonder if that would work with EU. Make a EU PSN account, redeem the code and hope it works with your NA account. I would think it wouldn't since dlc is always region locked but it's worth a shot.I just came across this. Has anyone given this a try?
I want to try it myself but I'm stuck at work for another few hours D:

Hello all,
I too am having a Wrong Region issue - I'm an old 1.0 PC Owner with only 2 months played time (so i'm not legacy)... I decided to pre-order the PC version to gain Early Access, in-game loot, and help support FFXIV... I do not own a PS3, so pre-ordering that version was not an option...
After receiving my pre-order code, I rushed to input it on the website - I was met with many error 3s... I've since beaten the error 3 and was given an RAAE code, only I'm NA - So I need an RAAU...
So now I'm left with 2 questions after looking on the internet far and wide for a fix...
1) even if I was to get an RAAU code, would I be able to register for EA since they're both PC accounts?
2) how the hell am I supposed to get an RAAU code instead of my RAAE? I've attempted all the fixes, attempted to contact Square (which is nigh impossible, btw), and everything else under the sun...
This is beyond disheartening... I played FFXI for over 7 years and would have played FFXIV much longer during 1.0 (especially towards the end when Yoshi took over), but I was deployed as a USMC infantry-man during majority of it's stay...
So Square, when are we gonna hear something official to these questions?
Try Harder <<Hard>> on Cactuar server!
If this helps, here's the Square Enix phone number for the United States. The representative was able to assist me.
(858) 790 7529
What about us people that got automatically redirected to the EU website and orded a key through them, are we able to contact support and exchange it for a NA key or what? fuckk!

They need to give an official answer about this. A call to SE from where I live would cost more than the game itself.
Oh my god THANK YOU! Did this and it worked. You saw read a post on it.For peopel who ordered through the NA SE store, you can go to findmyorder.com, pull up your order, and push the big ol cancel button. Then just reorder it and get a new code.
