World Transfer?

So with all the issues over the phase 4 beta weekend i wasn't able to get a toon on a NA server,had to create one on a EU server instead.Wondering if there will be a free serve transfer option in the first week like GuildWars 2 had so I'm not stuck on a EU server.
I know there will be the option to transfer for a fee of course but i was hoping i could avoid that. Oh well either way i guess. I could restart but i'm already a bit invested in my toon.

No free server transfers were mentioned, however there was mention of the possibility of paid server transfers a few weeks after release.

I was wondering this too,

I don't really want to switch worlds yet, I just want to know if a shuffle could be possible, as during the beta weekend, my world was closed off to new character creations, and if it is still this full on release, then none of my old FFXI buddies who are waiting fro the release won't be able to join me.
And as the OP, I have invested a lot of time into my toon, and I definatly wouldn't want to start again, I know I am not that high level, but it is all the story progression and everything else I have done.
