DRG48 here, in order to do the lv30 quest (to "unlock" DRG despite having it already) I needed to level MRD to 15.

hmm am i the only one who thinks jump should make u invincible during the actual jump ? x_X Went to cutters cry today and the final boss of the dungeon has a pretty nasty close range ability which is kinda hard to dodge with the server delay ... well u cn dodge it but u have less than a second to react x_X
At the very least, it'd be swell to be able to move sooner after the Jump animation is complete. During fights with extremely damaging charge attacks I rarely hit Jump anymore because I know the chance exists for the enemy to turn and slam into me with 3000+ damage.
Just got lvl 30 on my lancer and looking forward to unlocking Dragoon tonight!
Quick question; for solo questing and fate grinding, do you guys keep DRG job equipped or revert back to Lancer for the extra sub-skills?
I stick with DRG for the higher damage.
Does anyone recommend a good DPS rotation? Maybe it can help out my DPS a little. Also to maybe to help clear the hotbar of possibly less useful skills to make things a little easier for me on the PS3.
What normally do is to try and keep Slow and the DOT up. Followed by the Thrust chain and jump on cooldown. I also use the Pug crit cooldown and Blood for Blood.
Is this ok? Tips would be appreciated. (NOTE: My dragoon is currently 44 as of this post.)
Anyone have any tips for the second part of the level 30 Lancer class quest where I'm supposed to fight emo-lancer?

-----SPOILERS BELOW-----
I liked this fight a lot. Thought it was just the right amount of challenge and really wish the rest of the game would be like it. Take PUG's Second Wind and Featherfoot (and Internal Release if you have it). Have Straight Shot from ARC. Start the fight off with Straight Shot, stun him with Leg Sweep, shift to the side and hit him with Heavy Thrust. Try to keep these up whenever possible (so Heavy Thrust buff whenever he stops to cast or you can stun with Leg Sweep). Use Featherfoot and Keen Flurry consecutively to mitigate some of his damage (or you can save them for the adds). Your primary offense will come from True Thrust > Vorpal Thrust > Full Thrust. Use Life Surge right before Full Thrust for larger self heals. Burn his adds real quick when he spawns them. I noticed the casters doing pretty decent damage. When he starts charging his AoE attack that places that ice circle on the ground, get away and use Piercing Talon for the bit of extra damage. Just make sure to stay out of the circles as they do damage. Use High Potions if necessary.
That's about it.

Thanks! I'll give that a shot. I was doing pretty well for a while- had him down to a little under a quarter HP and moved to take down his pals. I really don't know what killed me because I just popped a hi-pot, started a combo and then dropped dead fairly confused, lol. Good times! Nice to have a challenge, though.
