Bjorn, this is not the thread for your issue. This is a mouse cursor missing in full screen issue. Use borderless window mode or find a program to run while in windowed mode to remove your taskbar. thank you, I need this on topic!
This is on topic. My mouse disappears when I try fullscreen because I'm in vista, and when I play in borderless window mode, my tasbar remains on top of my game.
I'll just start a new thread. nm
bjorn you may be able to fix the taskbar error by right clicking on it (on a blank spot) and then going to properties. you can check the option " keep the taskbar on top of other windows." Unfortunately though when running in windowed borderless this shouldn't happen in my experience.
Other than that...Square Enix please fix invisible mouse problem.
I agree though I would recommend making your own thread. There should be a better way once you understand what core functionality is causing this issue.

i had this issue today but i switched my mouse setting one the desktop from trail on to trail off and its now on my screen...
I am actually getting an issue like this in Windows XP, except my cursor flashes obnoxiously back and forth between my computer's default cursor and the FFXIV cursor. I'll have to try the compatibility stuff that maTyaR mentioned when I get home later tonight.
This is a known issue that is planned to be fixed during or after the 2.1 update. We appreciate your patience while we work to resolve this issue

This is great news! Kind of stinks having to wait longer, but hearing something from a mod/staff member means a lot.
In the meantime, I hope there's work being done on the other mouse cursor-related problems, too.![]()
Just downloaded a 1GB+ patch, issue NOT solved.
Here we go again,
SE FIX THIS ASAP
Back from holidays, I cant believe this news.. OMFG..!! Downloading patch as we speak.. lets see if they were telling the truth.. :-P
