Well I know somewhere, possibly in one of the interviews during March, they said it would be about 2 months before we saw all the combat changes. Taking into account the 2 week downtime (which they may or may not have been working during) I'd give them until the end of June.

Companies are coming in 1.17. This is a no-brainer. It may be the only substantial addition in the patch, but it is coming.

You can dig up this thread if this isn't the case and I'll eat my virtual hat.

Yeah, info on them is to be released right before 1.17 hits.

It kinda sounds like... a patch teaser. He was originally planning to address companies "at the end of March" (original date for 1.17) but he pushed it back. Why would he push it back? Why is it so important to keep the launch of 1.17 and the info on companies so close together? Moreover, they have a "page dedicated to in-game companies coming up" in the near future as well. He isn't hyping this stuff right now for no reason.

Give me a break. Companies are coming, and my hat is not leaving my head.

You never know with SE. Best to not expect them to come.

I would like to believe he did this, because as of the current patch there are new sidequests that gives you a little insight about the Grand Companies.

Well...we are definitely getting info this week since the patch is supposed to be on time for easter
