Two FFXIV service accounts?

i only registered 1 beta account , my 1 was registered in P3 because the date is June 10th. so is it safe to assume my service 2 is my P4 one? but my "2" was created August 22nd and my P4 character def wasnt created today lol

So you played in P4 but your service 2 was created today? That can only mean that you created a new account today. Your P4 char would be in your service 1. If you are not sure, I would hold of canceling either until EA. When you are logging in and it should ask you which service you want to use. I would check both to see which one has the char you want to use and cancel the other.

You could just leave both of them as is. The only thing is that you will be prompted which one to use everytime you log into the game. Just an extra confirmation you have to go through but not the end of the world.

I had the same thing when I registered 2 beta accounts during closed beta. Are you a legacy player? or are you a new player who maybe played open beta?

I thought i was a legacy, but apparently not, had played at launch of 1.0 with a CE for a while though, and #1 seems to be registered back in 2010, while #2 is just a couple of months ago. Must have done something wrong when i did beta, that makes sense. When i connected my PS3 version, it looked like #2 was empty while #1 had all the items from various editions. Thanks.

literally JUST got off the phone with Square-Enix 2:08 PM EST and the guy CONFIRMED if you hit "create new service" it automatically transfers everything you've done in P4 ALONG with any bonuses you incur through pre order.

He read off my characters name, the times i played everything. so DO NOT be alarmed if you have 2 service accounts all characters are instantly shifted to the most recent one as far as i know. He told me not to worry about deactivating my old 1st "service" which is just P3 data because it simply does no harm.

Well if you're like me, and have a 1.0 CE account on one service account, and your beta character on another service account (no idea how this happened) You're stuck
