"New accounts" Post limit

Rather than hire moderators, why doesn't FFXIV nominate and promote some of these Legacy players who have over 3000 post and have contributed greatly to the forum. Give each one a forum to moderate and have maybe 2 moderate the heavily trafficked forums like General. (Sounds familiar??) They can even send PMs to people who are excessively posting (like me at the moment ) and tell them that they are excessively posting and to limit how much you post for the rest of the day.

Just my suggestion and feedback.

Oh and I don't know how we can create fake accounts because you need to have a char at least to lvl 14 to post to a fourm, so you need to have a SE account as well and have played the game.

I think it is a good idea even though I reached my max today. The beta forums for me felt like a nightmare of unlimited posting however I hope the new rules will allow the mods more control and us less post to search through. I know we had similar rules in the beta maybe it was just amount of people in the beta was more the issue.. It's frustrating but its good to let the 1.0 players establish the tone the forums will take versus it looking anything like beta forums. The old lodestone forums where a lot fun to read over the past year I enjoyed my lurking there.

Amaya-Asha, uhm, beta forums weren't unlimited. They had 20 posts per day with 10m cd, and 3 threads per day with 1h cd. That still didn't stop what you saw on beta forums, neither it will stop same happening here. The only that it will achieve is restraining people who would want to get involved with community and contribute to it.

Well their thinking is off. In the General forum, all (or maybe close to 95%) of the 65 threads started are by lvl 50 players, some are quite useless in terms of information but then again it is a General forum where people are permitted to talk about anything (like most forums). If the wanted a casual forum, great, create one called Fantasy Cafe or something with no limitations. Funny that they didn't put any limitation on the New Player help forum, as if that is suppose to be the junk forum. I guess they wanted the older higher levels to have a place of their own. Fine, create a Lvl 50 forum called Fifty Something Palace. There are ways to do what they want without having limitations.

This will prevent people from answering the community's questions, because they will not want to waste 1 of their precious 4 posts per day. It's not a good idea to have such stringent restrictions in place.

I can't even comment on a topic about this in the feed back section as I've already used my posts for the day IN THIS FORUM.

I can understand a topic limit, but a reply limit is way way to much.

I think I saw somewhere that even liking a post may be considered as post. I have only one post in General and all my other post in Tech support but I have reached my limit somehow. I do remember liking a post but I can't remember where. The Like thing may be a bug or something, who knows.
