Selecting Main character for forum access?

Hi guys,


When I registered to this forum, the first thing they ask is to select my main character in order to be able to access the forum. Couple of questions:


1. What are those 3 drop down boxes? By default, the left drop down box was selected, in my case I got a number "2". What is that? Also, what about the middle and right drop down boxes? I leave those two blanks for now.


2. I'm planning to create another character later, am I able to change my main character in the future?

3. Will I be able to change my profile picture?

Plz advise.

1. Leftmost one is a list of class icons that denote what class is shown as your "main class" on the forums. You can change it whenever you want. Not sure why there are two more dropboxes unless it's a way to designate a second and third "main" class in your profile.

2. Yes, you can in the settings.

3. It is based off your selected main character.

1. The three drop down boxes let you select three primary classes (and their level) for it to display on your profile page under "Characters."

2. If you go to "settings" up at the top, you can select which character it displays under "edit character." I have two left over from the beta 4, so I know it works.

3. From what I can tell your profile pic is stuck as the portrait of your selected character, at least at the current iteration of the forums. It's always possible things will change

I really don't know what you are talking about. I'll edit this post in case I manage myself to find those 'drop down boxes'.
Now I know what you were referring to. Already answered by other fellow posters.

Sure.

3. Will I be able to change my profile picture?

No, you won't. You do need a character in order to post on the forums and profile picture is linked to that character. It will change with your in-game character accordingly, though.

edit: odd, sometimes my avatar displays when I load the page, and sometimes it doesn't. what's up with that?

I've noticed some characters can't post unless they are certain level...
Also...there is daily post limits?

Where can i read more on this? i'd like to know what i can and can't access etc.
