It's because, like the beta forums, people are asking things that there are already answers provided to if they "read" and paid attention. It isn't rocket science.

Glad that SE are offering a redo for those who had issues. My only issue was that I didn't get to choose my initial class (the option was either absent or i just didn't see it) and started in Ul'dah, rather than Gridania. This isn't a huge issue for me though since i can still join the Twin Adders, just means i lose out on any Gridania city story.

Name was probably taken so it didn't change.
