Even if you get a recustomization, you won't be able to change the city since you allready started your class/jobquestsI thought that once I had choosen what class I was going to start as I was also able to choose my home location and since I choose Archer they sent me to GridaniaI want to go back to Uldah
.
So I agree with he OP and would like a redo even if they reset everything back to my 1.0 data.
People actually screwed this up? Really? C'mon guys... sometimes you ought to pay attention.
I don't think its that simple, for example for me the options i wanted for face and nose had the same default numbering as my 1.0 character so when i tried to re-customize my character, the face and nose would look different then the benchmark. For example in 1.0 i had face option 1 and nose option 3, in ARR i wanted the same options but they look a bit different; but during the re-customization picking 1 and 3 made it look like the 1.0 version and not the ARR version. This only happened if you were changing appearance and not if you were making a new character; I came up with a new look that I'm satisfied with but if i can have the original appearance i wanted, would love to know how to meet the requirements for the change.
No, its really that simple.
The options are quite literally exactly the same. I wasn't able to use the import option so I had to go into the benchmark and copy over everything step by step... but I looked at some of the other options and everything is the same. (I also created a couple of new characters.)
Had people just paid attention and taken their time there wouldn't have been issues! I actually had my eyes open too so I noticed the starting class option and picked accordingly. User error through and through (aside from not getting the import option.)
Then you simply weren't affected by the graphics bug, some people were. Like i said, I'm satisfied with the new look i came up with but I wasn't able to choose what i wanted. Also if it is that simple, why would the devs admit there was a graphical bug? Just because you didn't have an issue does not mean others didn't too; its like saying just because i wasn't affected by 3102, that bug didn't exist at all.The options are quite literally exactly the same. I wasn't able to use the import option so I had to go into the benchmark and copy over everything step by step... but I looked at some of the other options and everything is the same. Most People messed up with the starting City, and that is the only thing they won't let you change again.
If they let change you anything. They just stated that ppl that where affected by that bug will get that chance. Anybody who rushed through and didn't really care about it and made mistakes gonna have to deal with their chars till they can use a phial

You will still meet all those people. All of the early quest lines converge into a single story line. From that point forth, there is essentially zero difference between the three cities in terms of which one you started in.I just miss my moogles.. and Yda..and Papalymo
If it really mattered to you though, you simply should have chosen a class that starts in that city. It's not like you can't just immediately swap classes to the one you want to play as soon as you log in.
This is one of the bugs they were talking about (I think) and for this reason you will probably get a second chance to fix it.For example in 1.0 i had face option 1 and nose option 3, in ARR i wanted the same options but they look a bit different; but during the re-customization picking 1 and 3 made it look like the 1.0 version and not the ARR version. This only happened if you were changing appearance and not if you were making a new character
You obviously couldn't read what I wrote. I didn't see that it preapplied a class to my character. I wasn't even the last Job I played the game as cause I made the effort to save as a Conj cause of Grid. This was not a choice made by me but a choice made by square. It's not like when you make a new character you choose your look THEN choose your class... Maybe you can relearn to read what ppl write if you're going to attack them for it.

Starting to look like these forums will be no better than the beta forums were. If this doesn't affect you then please leave this discussion. No wonder they still have posting restrictions on here.
I like you very much. Post number 2 and you already make sense. There's hope yet for these forums!
