I don't see why we can't ask for individual rollbacks if we made a mistake. Our 1.0 back-ups still exist. If we're rolled back, any progress we made is erased, and we get a do-over with full knowledge of what we did wrong so we won't repeat any mistakes. And who does it hurt? Absolutely no one. If you're not effected by this issue, honestly, why do you care if we get our rollback or not? It has no effect on anyone but us, and greatly enhances our enjoyment of this game.

Seriously, you guys want everyone to have fun and love this game, don't you? Well for some of us, starting in the wrong city is a HUGE bummer. It's really taken a lot of the wind out of my sails, and I might even hold off on playing till we get an official answer. I REALLY want to experience ARR from the perspective of a an Ul'dah character, just as I was in 1.0. But because of one easy-to-make mistake (look how many people have done the same thing), I get to play with a little rain cloud of bummerdom hovering over me.

Why not just make a mule and experience each city's initial quest line? It's only about 3 hours long in any event. A lot less drastic than refusing to play.
