They should just let everyone redo everything again. Names customzations all of it.

mine was a stupid mistake, i thought oh id like to try Arcanist out so picked the class and off i went. As soon as i pressed confirm i knew id f***ed up!
"Your former glories and all the stories, dragged and washed with eager hands..but oh your city lies in dust my friend!"
They stated numeros of time about the class/city Sadly that is your mistake and you need to live up with it
But after lv 15 all the cities merge for the Main story so it doesn't mean much
Also your main city doesn't affect your grand company choice so
Maybe it's me , but we all were aware it was a 1 time thing , how can you possibly make a mistake choosing a class and city?
I mean you know your favorite class when starting .. you know what city is your favorite , being a 1.0 , so for what reason did you change it?
To try out Arcn for instance ? well thats pretty @#$%% , since you were aware that if you did it would be your starting class as everything went over to release and EA.
Also people were so eager to start they rushed through the character creation ASAP .. without thinking " i cannot remake it", again the blame is on theirself if they did not take the time to perfect their character.
Class + City.. the blame is all on yourself if you did not choose the favorites.
I seriuosly hope the devs will have mercy on those people.. but i would not be so sure about that
Understandable i can see the need for remaking a characters appearance , is the barber still in game? or if you are lucky you get that Vial.
The char creator did have issues , like for instance i put on red lipstick what turned out to be purple in game and i am realy annoyed about that

Not everyone even got through the character creator. If you had a 1.0 character the way the screen was set up it was difficult to find where you change your name and even how to enter char creation mode without simply starting the game as is. Granted all of this could have been avoided if you payed more careful attention. However, It ended up happening to a good chunk of the community which does say something about the way it was all set-up.

They will not revert you, or anyone else. There was a post about this on beta forums from 1.0 players who'd made a mistake in the char creation area and are now stuck with the wrong starting class/city state/hairstyle/voice option etc etc. People were keeping the thread bumped so a community rep could see the post and pass our concerns onto the development team. Im creating this thread to keep the old thread going and hopefully those of us who made a mistake are allowed to rectify the mistake. yes it was stupid to make a mistake but then the whole char login process wasnt made very clear
You were explicitly told when selecting your character that you had ONE CHANCE to change anything about your character. You used that one chance (apparently wasting it) and that's that.
I find it hard to see what's unclear about clicking on your character, going through character creation again like everyone else (which isn't rocket science, and then logging in.then the whole char login process wasnt made very clear
-edit- supposedly in the case where your error was caused by a bug or issue, you may be given a second chance. Please, don't waste this one and then make another thread complaining that you should get another recustomization.

You either have to be a psychic or an SE employee to know this and since you're neither... that's that.

Did you read it? It's not a revert it's change of look and name only. He will still not be able to change his nation so in this case Alhanelem is right
Yeah I read. I do know how to read. Your progress won't be reset but your character customization may be reverted. In this case, he was wrong. Just as anyone could be when they go assuming what SE will or will not do regarding these matters. Regardless, everyone will still get their phial once they subscribe so it's not like it's that big of a deal. And it's also very possible that they will add paid character customizations (separate from the planned barber shop) and cash in on this feature like WoW since they obviously have that capability (unlike in XI when I played).
Edit:
You're very welcome. Oh, and so were you in your original post so don't act like it was undeserved, thanks.
I already covered that in my post with an edit, but thanks for being a jerk anyway. (also, they don't appear to be allowing a repick of starting class)You either have to be a psychic or an SE employee to know this and since you're neither... that's that.

I don't have a problem with people who were affected by a bug or technical issue getting another chance. However, i do have a problem with people who seem to be saying "boo hoo I picked the wrong stuff for my character I want a do-over after I already got a do-over!" independent of the bug or technical issue.
I really dont understand why some people are getting emotional over their starting city. It has very little meaning at all. Only the first couple main scenario quests are affected by it. Most everything else city-related is determined by the Grand Company you join, and THIS you will be able to change ingame. It's where you START, not where you have to live or hang out.
