i ordered 2 copies from amazon.co.jp - hopefully they will arrive either today or Monday.

I just... why Blu-ray? Why not a multi-disc set?
Just gotta carry my PS3 around when I want to listen to this I guess.

3 of my Computers have BD-R drives, so no issue here. I just hope mp3 isn't the ONLY format. Hope they put them on in something a bit better quality too.

The soundtrack is way out of my budget that I can spend for music, but I love the soundtrack! Limsa Lominsa's Day theme has got to be my favorite. It really makes me image a harbor/port town when I listen to it. Amazingggg

The Dark's Embrace has been my cell phone ring tone for ages.
There are a few tracks from 1.0 that I really enjoyed, but Soken went overkill on the new soundtrack for ARR. He very quickly became my favourite game composer and I can see him being referred to as the new Uematsu. His music is fresh and wonderful, and nearly every track I've heard so far in ARR has affected me positively.
I can hear a lot of inspiration throughout his tracks. I'm pretty sure one of the new Thanalan themes is based on the overture from Lawrence of Arabia for example. His music is beautiful and filled with spirit, really takes you into the environment.
I am absolutely amazed at Masashi Hamauzu (FF13/13-2). Not a HUGE fan of 14's soundtrack but it definitely has its moments and the various themes are composed well but Hamauzu's melodies have more impact for me. The main FATE music and a few town themes are memorable for sure but not much else has quite grabbed me. Not a BAD soundtrack by any means but just not that great imho. The Dark's Embrace has been my cell phone ring tone for ages.

I've just received mine today - yay! One question - where does/did "Piece of Mind" play? I love that track![]()
~Note to self: Stop logging out in silly hats~

It also plays during the "Living on a Prayer" cutscene where you're praying at the statue in Ul'dah and Thancred speaks to you. It's one of my favorite pieces <3
Meow

Plan to get this soundtrack as it's part of my legacy!!
