One way I'm imagining using Flare is by combining it with Convert in the fire phase; burn down to ~0 MP, cast Swiftcast + Flare, cast Convert to regain MP, then continue fire rotation. This option is limited by Convert's 3 minute cooldown, of course, but this could be useful in situations requiring very high burst damage (either single target or AoE).
