While under Umbral III, why cast Fire III instead of Transpose? Does Fire III immediately switch you from Umbral III to Astral III?

Yes. And vice versa.

Fire 1 and Fire 2 says it Removes Umbral or adds Astral
Fire 3 says it Removes Umbral AND adds Astral

Blizzard 1 and Blizzard 2 says it Removes Astral or adds Umbral
Blizzard 3 says it Removes Astral AND adds Umbral
