No argument there, however things can take a deal of time to fix. I remember in one post, the new director (whoever it is) said he had to spend some time figuring out who is good at doing what and how quickly. I also wouldn't be surprised if it took him some time to ID short term goals and start working on long term ones. There might be a culture change needed, that takes time too. There might be interoffice politics and backstabbings going on slowing things down. Something you thought was fixed gets broken in a patch. I'm sure there were more than a few long meetings of people asking for ideas on how to fix this game.

I would like this game fixed/altered/finished/whatever but as someone who's worked in development before, I can assure that these things take time. Until then, you've got to tolerate the lemons as best you can if you want to be in it for the long haul. Will FF14 ever be a great game? Not in the next few years, that's for sure. It might get better with a few expansions, but at this point it would be unfounded optimism for this game to ever be great. Is it still salvageable? Yes. If the right people are in charge. If they have what they need. Good is still a possibility with time.

Whether you want to wait it out or not is up to you.
