Because game development takes time, MMORPG development takes even more. That's all there's to it. Systems need to be devised, designed, implemented and tested extensively.
To think that an amateurial (not to mention incomplete, lackluster and underfeatured) webpage is anywhere similar or comparable to a system that needs to work in a complex environment as a MMORPG (without causing conflicts, bugs or crashes) and to meet commercial quality standards is as ridiculous as is gets.

And lol at comparisons with patches from other MMORPGs that are almost entirely made with bug fixes (because the game was launched with a load of bugs, while FFXIV was rather low in that, compared to the average of the market) and content that was in development since way before release.

Welcome to the real world. A project that requires a basic redesign is much harder and takes more time than to simply build upon systems that don't need to be reinvente and redesiged.
As for the "No dramatic changes", that's a silly statement, the redesign of the market wards itself is definitely a "dramatic change" for instance. Just because it's not called "auction house" (thing that some people are evidently too stuck on), and it's not what you personally demand doesn't make it less sizable.

Actually the opposite is true for basically every point you make. Dramatic changes are quite uneard of in the first six months after release pretty much in any MMORPG. As for "FAILED", a project "FAILS" when it gets closed. FFXIV is up and running, and under heavy development.

Extensive use of hyperbole (and caps) doesn't add more solidity to your points. Quite the contrary.

Couldn't have said it any better.

Especially when you have to work out the kinks in the complex coding that the earlier programmers were using to add tweaks or change the systems completely.

Its like going over a past-employee's paperwork after they have been fired the day before. You have to scan through and see what to take out and where to add in.
