Is it possible to bypass the launcher and go straight to the game.

Reason for this is an odd block at my brothers school that leaves unblocked but restricts access to the version check on the launcher. There are ways around this that he has used for games like WoW, Rift, and GW2 but I cant seem to track one down for FFXIV atm.

Any help you guys could give would be appreciated.
