We only had a wedding in Canada, parents flew down for it (that was my first time meeting them, 3 days before the wedding). The parents brought Hanbok with them, and we wore the Hanbok for the first part of the wedding, then got changed into a suit and dress for the second part.
We definitely did NOT want to have a Korean wedding because A) Our Canadian wedding was unbelievably perfect and amazing, and B) Korean weddings are...very hmm...not good! Haha

As an example for people who don't know the difference.

In a western wedding, you have a wedding cake, you cut it--and everyone gets a piece.
In a Korean wedding, you have a wedding cake, but 2/3 of it is actually fake, you cut it, take pictures, then it's put away. Either thrown out or given out to someone after the wedding.

We're living in Korea now because we're making much more money here! But we'll definitely be moving back to Canada to raise kids
