Level 50 PLD here... However, I have betrayed you all and also have level WAR to 50. I am a horrible person. Please forgive my betrayal but I need it for tanking purposes....or so my linkshell told me. I feel ashamed!

Hello hello, new future paladin here glad to be apart of the team. I've played a tanker in most MMOs and love the role.
Out of curiosity there's been a lot of debate of stat point distributions, what do you guys think are most beneficial? Straight VIT? Is the damage reduction increase from STR worth taking?

Well ive been splitting my points between STR and VIT, tho ill say i am going more towards STR. Reason being that at the higher levels i figure ill be more about taking less dmg than a MRD over trying to play catch up on health.

As long as we keep a good rotation on our cooldowns the dmg we take will be minimal.

That being said i'm going STR 60% VIT 40% on stat wise

Personally I will be going with a full VIT build. Seeing that we can change our stats at end game, if I find that I'm having issues with threat (would be the only viable reasoning for STR imo) then i may switch it up and see but as of right now I don't see a point to putting anything in STR with the numbers of points needed to make any little difference.

Heyo! Paladin from Sargatanas here! I was on Durandal in 1.0 and tanked everything like a boss (as is usual with me)
All kidding aside I'm unsure on what I'm going to dump my stat allocation points into currently. I'll leave them open and decide later, prolly after a week or two into the game.

I am for sure leaning towards Paladin, as I have always loved the mitigation and sword and board style of tanking best. A 2 hander is not a tank weapon in my mind, so that puts warrior lower on my list. Got my gladiator to 20 in beta 4 and tanked 3 of the dungeons. My only concern long term is the AOE threat I can put out might make PUG tanking more of a pain, but I need some more levels and abilities to get a real feel. I don't mind it being tougher to pull off with a pally, but hopefully it is doable.
