I like the enhancement of the battle effects. I hope the [visual] enhancement will also include vivid additional animations for particular battle effects. Example: BATTLE REGIMENS!!!!!!! Please make these combos (or some of the combos) visually distinctive--instead of just pink limbs, weapons, and monsters.

Exactly!No, what you saw that you thought were "placeholder" effects *are* the Ancient Magic Special Effects for FF XIV right now, in other words, almost non-existent and looking like some "placeholder effect." (>_<)
It's embarrassing. They need to give us some real special effects here.

Definitely. That's one of my problems with Battle Regimens right now (and the hoping for XI's Skillchains to come back): The current Battle Regimen's Horrible Special Effects really make it feel underwhelming. Look at any Battle Regimen Effect and compare it to, like, FF XI's LIGHT Skillchain (Hikari Renkei) and it's just sad... where did the Special Effects Artists go for this project?

Yah, that Special Effect that the Gnats do looks great.Square could change the color of it, and make that the Levinbolt II Special Effect! (It'd sure look better than it does right now, which is just the same animation and special effect as Rank 10 Radiance Weaponskill (~_~).)
Ill say what I said b4, tornado looks like a f***rt and flare, that is the mos powerful spill in FF after ultima looks like Fire.
Truth be said, the size of the spells was small, and increasing it is a good option, but, and it is a big BUT, the animations should and must be properly made. I remember ff9's flare spell, it had a great animation. After ps2 came out some skill animations became peaces of art. ffxiv tornado looks like a freaking stomach byproduct compared with Auron's ultimate, Tornado from ff10.
Also... the skill names Fire1 Fire2 Fire3, could it be changed to Fire Fira Firaga, and so on? Please oh please... After all is these ff or some kr clone? I may be alone in the but... I hate the skill naming with numbers and love the orther system used in so many ff's.
Final Fantasy I-VII also used the spell number system. ra, raga, and raja only started to pop up once VIII hit. It could go either way much like XI, which used both the number system and the aga names to tell the difference between single target and area of effect.

I know it ad, but I like ra raga raja. As I said it may be just me but that nomenclature seems more natural.
