Gathering Level 50 Nodes

i already reach my gathering and perception, and I must say it a waste on the perception because im melding for perception before reading the thread
ended at 350 perception and still getting 15% at unspoiled node

anyway, any tip for skill rotation and all for unspoiled nodes gathering? im pretty much new for gathering 2.0

If you can get to 600 GP, what I usually do is activate the Toil skill to make all items reachable, then use Leaf Turn II or Unearth II to get a boost to the HQ rate, and then gather what I want while keeping fingers crossed for HQ items. Unlike crafting, I don't think there is anything like a "skill rotation" for gathering.

My base GP is 580, so without a food buff I can't use the above 2 skills (they require 600 GP together).
Without using food I will usually activate Leaf Turn II / Unearth II and Field Mastery II / Sharp Vision II. Without the Toil skill you need to sacrifice the first gathering attempt to remove the "UNKNOWN" from the slot, and after that you can gather as usual.

So, I've been raising my perception with materia, and even at 340+, my chance of getting HQ on any of the rare level 50 node items is always 1%. Is it possible to make it go any higher?

The nodes I specify are what are known as unspoiled nodes, they only pop at specific times in the day (eorzea time, not earth time), and they only pop if you have the truth of the - ability for botany or miner equipped.

On your in game clock you can click it on it and it swaps between three settings; Local Time (LT), Server Time (ST), Eorzea Time (ET). You want to switch it to ET, it's all based on that time, it's the in game time of day

Feel free to also use http://www.ffxivclock.com/ to keep track of the current Eorzea Time and get alerts when they spawn
