For PS3 users with an invalid PlayStation Store code: If you have a friend or someone who has an extra preorder code (the first code, 6-3-6-3), go to http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ and redeem the new one for PS3 and it will give you a working 12 digit PlayStation Store code. It does not matter if you have already redeemed a preorder code for PS3 before. As long as you give them a different preorder code, you will get a different 12 digit PlayStation Store code, and this time it will work.

This was my problem, I feel entirely dumb now. I didn't know I had to enter my pre order code on that site to get the PS3 code. It's now working as intended!

Is there any way to check what region you are on? Accidentally redeemed my code on http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ when I was supposed to do it on the EU site. Geez... >.<

If you move your mouse above the Square Enix link in the upper lefthand corner of the site, that might be an indicator. I found by reselecting the English (US) under your name in the upper righthand corner would make it NA. I tried that many times but that didn't work for me to get a correct working psn code.

Well solved my issue. Called my local retail Gamestop and I can cancel my order when I go in today. I went to the PS store online and purchased the CE digital version and I saw under my services I'm set of EA. I'm done with this as an issue. To those who purchased and it has already been shipped, you can call the online store and I ask if you return it, can you get a full refund. Say you played the open beta for free last weekend and it wasn't what you thought it would be. Most online retailers will allow you to return it for a full refund as long as the package isn't opened, but call the retailer to find out.

In no way am I saying to do this, just telling you what I did and my opinion of returning it.

I've been trying to enter my EU pc code received from shopto for the past 2 days, but starting yesterday evening(cet) the code 3 turned into code 2: : The code entered has already been used. the preorder isn't showing in my account though and I received no mail.

I saw my spam of emails yesterday from me trying get a new code. All of them are still the same EU code. i really hope this is fixed before EA
