It was telling me no valid account at first, Now it says server not responding and give this link.

I guess that could be true, Im going to keep trying. I ordered from PSN

They are aware of the problem and working to fix it. A message will come to our PSN inbox on the XMB.

Well I found this in searching and I can only hope:


Players Who Own FFXIV Version 1.0

Players who own FFXIV version 1.0 will not need to purchase the PC version of FFXIV: ARR and will be able to download the FFXIV: ARR software for free.
* Details on downloading the FFXIV: ARR software will be provided at a later date.

Furthermore, users who have version 1.0 registration codes that have not yet been registered will be able to register them and play FFXIV: ARR on PC at the start of the service.

However, I see no mention of EA in that so my understanding is if you have the 1.0 version, but not legacy status, if you want EA then you must pre-order the ps3 version, link it to your active account, enter the EA code then you can login via either client during EA and play. Someone correct me if I am wrong? I'm honestly considering doing this now just to get the pre-order items since I like them better than what I got in 1.0 plus the guarantee of EA, but if it doesn't work then I may not bother.

If you participated in the FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta, a FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Service Account should be present under your SQUARE ENIX account. This FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Service Account can be transferred to the official release.
* Note that this FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Service Account by itself does not allow for play.

Please be aware that if you register any bonus item codes to your FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Service Account, you will not be able to redeem those items unless you transfer that FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Service Account to the official release.

Once you enter the registration code included with your game, you will be able to choose whether you want to transfer your FINAL FANTASY XIV Open Beta Service Account to the official release or if you want to create a new FINAL FANTASY XIV Service Account. Make sure you have your EA code registered:

Its actually pretty confusing. Think they woulda made a simpler way. First you have to obtain your EA code/collector edition items. You should still have your order confirmation from SE scroll to the bottom where you see your SKU number for your Pre-order bonus package copy and paste in the b boxes found here http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com then you will get you EA code/collectors edition items code, it will also be emailed to you. Then just follow the onscreen instructions to register your EA code. I used option 2 (the alternate method)
