    Why'd the Ask the Devs sessions stop!

    These were some of the sessions many of us looked the most forward to, learning about how the world works.

    In our topic about gathering, now we know that we start with 2500 points and it goes down by 10 after every successful gather. At 1000 points we start to damage goods, and the rate of failure goes to 100% over the next 1000 points. Regeneration is 100 points an hour.

    That's an ask the devs session! We need more!

    I'd like to see Ask the Dev sessions on:

    Redos of craftsmanship, magic craftsmanship, and control. Are there tiers? Is it a certain level we need? Can we get some examples as to what a handful to a dozen items require?

    Moon phases: drops and crafting

    What does vitality and mnd do on miner?

    When you say the effect of str on blacksmithing (HQ rates) is minor, how minor is minor?

    What is resiliance?

    Anything else that we're operating on voodoo?

    I think you really need to leave some things up for the players to discover...I mean leave us some mysteries in the game I don't need to know how many pixles each texture patern for rocks is. Or why mining nodes glow more when I'm far away and less when I'm close...

    Some of the features that you just asked about are likely to be changed as the game undergoes an overhaul. They are probably hesitant to respond to any questions directly, as the answers won't be valid later on.

    I'm not doing it. You're not doing it. So we're just wallowing in ignorance. Testing these things out takes professional and scientific approach with statistical analysis tools. The magic of MMOs is gone. We're burnt out on figuring these voodoo mechanisms out.

    ignore the trolls you ask great questions. Some things should be left up to the player thaats true like whats best strategies to use on NMS and leves but asking what STR does etc should be known. I mean its not like we have to wait 6 hours to re assign points if we mess up.... wait a min..... WE DO! so tell us.

    Most of the things in the game are gonna change over then next year or so why explain something you plan to change in a few months?

    I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!

    They are not here to sate the number crunching crowd. You want to find out the percentage calculations of str's effect on mining, or what stat builds every miner should adopt or be shunned? Do it yourself like in every other game.

    Str has no effect on mining. Just saved you a lot of trouble.
