If the seller had the choice to determine whether he wanted smaller amounts to be purchased from his stack there is no issue. It only allows more items on the ah, it will probably lower prices a bit since there will be more on the ah but that is it. I would love to be able to put up 100 ore and say allow multiples of 5. I would price it as I would price a single stack of 5 and a lot of people win.
