Pre-order bonus items & Early Access

Will pre-order bonus items be available to the entire Square Enix account or just one service account?
Pre-order bonus items will only be available to the service account you chose to redeem the code on.

Can I register a pre-order code from a PlayStation®3 version to a service account from V1.0?
Yes you can. However, when doing so, you need to enter the product code (received with the pre-order bonus) from your PlayStation® 3 console and then select the service account on which you played FINAL FANTASY XIV Version 1.0 from the account selection screen.

*Please ensure you register the code on the correct account as the process is irreversible.

Are there any additional steps required for owners of the V1.0 Collector’s Edition to receive the bonus items of the FFXIV:ARR Collector’s Edition?
No, these items will be delivered automatically to eligible characters via the Moogle Delivery Service.

Will Legacy players receive the pre-order bonus items?
No. While Legacy players will receive Early Access, they will not receive the pre-order bonus items unless they pre-order FFXIV:ARR.

If I have the standard edition of FFXIV V1.0, how do I get the FFXIV:ARR Collector’s Edition bonus items?
You can either purchase the digital upgrade online or a PlayStation®3 Collector’s Edition. Further information on the digital upgrade can be found here.

Will it be possible to obtain the pre-order bonus items ‘Caith Sith Doll Minion’ and ‘Mog Cap’ after release?
There are currently no plans to make these items available outside of the pre-order campaign.
What is ‘Early Access’?
If you pre-order FFXIV: A Realm Reborn from a participating retailer and register the pre-order code on your service account within the specified time period, you will have the opportunity to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn several days ahead of the official launch (August 27th). Players eligible for the Legacy Campaign can also enjoy early access to the game.

Please keep an eye out for an upcoming announcement on when exactly Early Access begins.

In addition, in order to avoid server congestion related issues from multiple characters concentrating in the starting areas, we may implement restrictions on logins and/or the for a period of time after the servers are open to the public.

If you look on the FFXIV site it's clearly said to upgrade Standard 1.0 to 2.0 digital collectors (the 20$ one) it will be only after release

Ahh I bolted straight to the store didn't see it as an option. Not getting the early play does not seem to make the extra 20 worth it.

FYI if you havnt preordered yet, do not go to walmart.com even though they say you get early access, they are saying that you do not get the code in email all you get is what will come in the mail, btw mine will be at my door 9/7 not on release day. Canceling btw.
