    Main hand/off hand tool differences?

    So, any word yet on what difference it makes to use your offhand tool instead of your main hand one? Didn't fiddle around too much with crafting in beta...
    Increased HQ chances? increased progress rates? more/less CP? Something else?

    Did I miss something? Since when can you choose between Main-, and Offhand? I thought the stats of both are combined together now.

    The stats add up now. In 1.0 you could choose which to use but now is automatically.

    Nope. I noticed in phase 3 that some recipes automatically made me use my off-hand tool as a weaver. Not sure if it changed in phase 4.

    The stats add together for your total control/craftsmanship now. If you don't use offhand now you will be incredibly gimp.

    Well alright then. I just noticed some people randomly using their offhand tools and assumed you could choose as you did in 1.0.

    The item you're crafting determines which tool is displayed. I'm pretty sure that's just an aesthetic thing. It wouldn't make sense to spin thread with a needle or craft a tunic with a spinning wheel.

    Also, if you un-equip your offhand it'll of course default every synth to your main hand even if it makes more sense that it'd use your offhand.

    This. The stats are additive now and as far as anyone knows one tool doesn't do anything different than the other functionally.

    I might not be correct on this as I have only had little experience. I just wanted to say what I observed in game.

    Based on my observation, offhand will be used autonatically for quick synthesis.
