Uh, I just tried using the site again this morning.
This time, I DID get my NA code. Was able to link it to my other Square account just fine.
Was there some sort of ninja-fix that went unannounced?
Or was it because I never made it past error 3 previously (I received the EU code by email only. The NA one was displayed on my screen).
I'm in the same boat with the EU code. A couple weeks ago I tried to register my copy of FF XIII-2 and had a similar issue. They told me it was because they had changed to NA site to match the EU one, and the page to input your registration was just a copy of the EU one. They claimed they were working on fixing it but it's still not right.
I'm curious if it's all related to when they updated the NA site.
I received an EU code as well, although I am an NA account. The last time I got an EU code was in P3/4 and they told me I had registered for the EU code, which is untrue. Regardless they made me wait until open beta to register again via the NA site - which I did in the first place. I am a little concerned my code issue won't be addressed in time for early access. It's disheartening.![]()

A new post under status said they fixed the issue of it giving incorrect codes so I tried again... same freakin EU code.
edit: How do you access the live chat support? I only seem to be able to get email ticket

i've noticed you will get an email every time you try to use the pre-registration code.Just got my 15th e-mail from noreply@xmail.eu.square-enix.com with the same RAAE code. Seriously?
I tried entering my pre order code again after the issue was 'resolved'. I DID get another code.... which was AGAIN of EU!
What are the possible solutions thus far? Create an EU account? Swap early access codes with someone?
I got an EU code as well after getting the game registered on my SE profile account. I sent in a ticket about my code not working. Waiting on a reply.
But, this morning, I noticed that FFXIV is no longer registered to my SE Profile, when it was registered just a few days ago. I am frustrated.
This says it's related to Final Fantasy XI on the support page but if you look below there is a live chat there. You can see if that will get you through to someone since it doesn't mention live chat anywhere on the Final Fantasy XIV support pages:

Not sure what the link for EU is but one would have to investigate further.
