Forum posting restrictions

A forum requires activity. The character limit doesn't bug me that much as any form of long guide could be typed up elsewhere and linked to. But the post limit is going to kill these forums. Why would anyone use these when there are plenty of other websites that actually allow you to debate on topics. No one is going to be able to have a good discussion about classes or game play with only 10-20 posts, especially if you're focused on more than one.

Too bad I cant report there's a forum bug where "THAUMATURGE Lv" cuts off at that point and doesn't show the actual level because its too long!

And it's weird, it doesn't show my v1.0 character as an option, so it thinks I'm only level 20

So I wanted to post a feedback about forum bug (no, not about classes missing in char class selection list) in "website bugs" section, but my main char lvl is not high enough. gg.
I agree with OP here, these restriction are ridiculous.
P.S. If anyone can post in Website bugs section, please do it for me.

Considering this forum is only accessible to paying customers, I have to agree the forum limitations is way too much.

I really want to be able to make a recruiting post on Behemoth. But since it was impossible for me to level to 25 during p4, I can't. I can understand the need for restrictions, but these are way too severe. We will be in early access soon, so I really want to put up a recruitment post. I mean, I preordered two copies of the game... shouldn't that entitle me to at least make ONE thread? :-(

Axe the thread creation requirement, or knock it down to 1 thread per day for level 10-15. I'm going to have to wait for a legacy player to start a thread on Gilgamesh so I can merely welcome my fellow servermates as Early Access begins.

I strongly agree with the restrictions.

Forums should be a place where people can come to find answers to questions about or solutions to problems within the game. We have turned the forums for this game into a chat room. It is nearly impossible for anyone to use the search function, just due to the sheer number of topics and posts that contribute nothing to a meaningful discussion. Most topics posted in the previous forums were usually duplicates of other existing topics, and many of the posts within were either arguments for or against, trolls, or dismissive of other's opinions, and were usually the same arguments made in all of the other threads on the same topic.

These restrictions MIGHT (though I'm doubtful) make us all conscious of our posting, to make sure that we are only contributing when it is worthwhile to the community as a whole.

I never really had a problem with this. I agree with a thread creation time limit as people just make too many threads!

But it irritates me that theres already a double thread going made by the same guy so he supposedly had to wait an hour to double it up.... and I can't even make one recruitment thread for my LS lol

Restrictions can be good, but I think this is just too much.

This is a discussion forum for discussion, which is why people post a lot ion general discussion not a help or Q&A forum. At what point does it say that the forum is for help solely and they community have made it into a discussion forum (asking for and receiving help is not a discussion that's a help forum or a Q&A forum.

I find it ridiculous that new players are basically barred from the world forums since the level cap was set at 20.
And you can't make a thread until 25.

Yes it probably won't affect me once EA is up and going.
But for now it is especially annoying for those of us on worlds that aren't legacy.
