No it doesn't. There is no way short of contacting someone from PSN to determine if it is in fact the wrong region. Sometimes also, it may take some time for the code to work on PSN as well. i had a code that was not working, but after a day it worked.the ps3 codes that i have seen dont have the raau/raae thing...it seems to be a random string of 4 numbers and letters. And a number of us are receiving the message "the code you are entering is not valid or is already in use" does not say anything about a regional issue.
