    You have to use your "XXXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX-XXX" 18 digit key code on http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ website and it will generate a "XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX" 20 digit code (code is generated right away and displayed on the website after you complete the enter you 18 digit code part) that you put in on https://secure.square-enix.com/accou...vearlycontract . As per the original poster (and was my experience too). If you don't put the 18 digit one in I don't think you get your code. Not sure about the PS3 version (but the OP has info for that one too).

    I ordered from the Square store, and have an EU copy ordered. NA fixes don't work.

    Thank you so much for posting this. I was stuck in the "Error 3" loop for days, but as soon as I changed the language in my profile settings from "English (UK)" to "English (US)" and submitted my code again, it immediately worked.

    Kinda disheartening that the pre-order system is having so many issues, but hopefully the actual game launch will be less problematic.
