Keep in mind there is a difference between the emails you receive from NA / EU store
Na uses Digital River (those can find their code https://www.findmyorder.com/)
EU will receive the code by mail (i got mine just today 22 august)
If you receive a 20 digit code (XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX) you have to follow these steps
1) Go here https://secure.square-enix.com/accou...vearlycontract
2) Enter the 20 digit code.
If you receive a 18 digit code (XXXXXX-XXX-XXXXXX-XXX) you have to follow some extra steps
1) Get your 18 Digit pre-order code.
2) Go here http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ or http://preorder.eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/
3) Enter the code, if it errors, keep hitting submit, no need to refresh. Once it goes through, u'll see a new page with a 20 digit code and you will receive a mail with the code also.
4) Go here https://secure.square-enix.com/accou...vearlycontract
5) Enter the 20 digit code.
If you receive a 12 digit PlayStation 3 code (XXXXXX-XXX-XXX) steps
For PS3 players you'll get a 12 digit code.
Enter that in Account Management - Redeem Codes on the PS3,
It will prompt the client which you don't have to download if you have the Phase 4 one.
For Those Receiving Code Region Errors
If you need the correct region - Open a ticket with their support page http://support.na.square-enix.com/ or wait till the next announcementWe're aware that some NA users are receiving EU-region codes and are working to address that as well. We'll be sure to keep you updated.

Or you can simply make a matching region account (If you dont have characters saved from beta)
The region doesn't matter ingame you will be able to play or both NA and EU server with whatever region your account is bound to
You can figure out which region your code is by looking at the first 5 digits (PC only)
RAAU = NA code
RAAE = Europe Code
SE is working on this issue.
How to check that you are all set for Early Access with Playstation 3
On your PS3 XMB (Xross Media Bar--that's your main PS3 system menu):
Go to "PlayStation Network" > "Account Management" > "Transaction Management" > "Services List"
You should see FFXIV:ARR in the list.
Press X on FFXIV:ARR and you should see "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Early Access" on your PSN account.
That is it. You can rest assured that you have Early Access on PS3. You do not have to re-download the game client again if you have already downloaded it for the open beta (beta phase 4). It is the exact same file on PSN. (You can test this by going into your PlayStation Store, choose "View Downloads"[on the bottom left hand side, just keep pressing down on your d-pad]. You will see that you only have one FFXIV:ARR in your download list [both from open beta and early access codes] instead of 2 separate items.)
Preorder Code: Error 3 FIX
this has worked now for a number of folks. "What finally worked for me was editing my profile settings. Basically, after going to the pre-order code entry site and picking your language, it asks you to log in. After you log in (you may need to fill in some information) it'll take you to the code entry page. Instead of entering the code, I clicked my newly chosen handle in the upper right corner of the page. That displayed a drop down, and I clicked the "My Profile" option. That took me to the profile details page. I filled in the information there and noticed that my language was set to English (UK). I changed that to English (US), saved my information, went back to the pre-order page, and was able to enter in my code without any problems."
PS3 FFxiv: the code you are entering is not valid or is already in use
Reply from PSN Support:
Open a ticket with their support page http://support.na.square-enix.com/ or wait till the next announcementThe reason you are receiving the message that the code is invalid is because it is a code for the European region. I would recommend that you get back in touch with Square Enix so they can provide you with a code for the United States. You may contact them using the information below."
